MSCA Train2Wind

Science Communications Training

The train2Wind acronym is made from ‘Training Fellows in enTrainment in Offshore Wind Power’

Train2Wind PhD Fellow, Gabriela Miranda

Gregor Giebel, project lead on Train2Wind

Train2Wind PhD Fellow, Marwa Souaiby

Train2Wind PhD Fellow, Abdalmenem Owda

Train2Wind PhD Fellow, Mauro Ghirardelli

Senior research and coordinator of Train2Wind, Tuhfe Göçmen

💡 Train2Wind addresses the critical question of how much offshore wind power we can build together before it seriously affects the common wind resource in the area. The project involves using advanced computer modeling, satellite measurements, unmanned aerial systems, lidars, and wind tunnel modeling to understand the details of the entrainment mechanism of momentum transfer into large offshore wind farms.
